As awesome as this software is, there is better (like I said before). Somehow, I was out of the loop and did not know that Silhouette had put out their own version of software. I was very confused when I looked at other peoples tutorials and their software looked completely different! Duh! They upgraded! Somehow I stumbled across it last week and I thought I would share it with whomever is interested. <a href="http://www.silhouetteamerica.com/software.aspx"><strong><span style="color:#6666cc;">Here</span></strong> </a>is where you go to download the new software. And if I haven't mentioned it yet, it is so much better! All those things that you wished you could do in Craft <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">ROBO</span> (like erasing, cutting, viewing the image dimensions, etc.) you can do now! And, the even better part is it's <em><strong><span style="color:#990000;">FREE</span></strong></em>! And all your purchased images are transferable! It's a win-win! I haven't played with the new software a whole lot, but I am going to go back through those <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">tutes</span> that I passed over because I didn't have the same software. I hope this makes at least one person's life a little easier!<br /><br />And on to a few more projects. This I have shared before, but I added a little more to it. It was to simple for me like it was, so I added a few fabric rosettes. I think it finishes it off quite well.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5573242496007028098" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGlHHrgw2En-SQmhsdmFZKzw2z2fo359LtFG1NR_gbvDjVKFaNxo9L_hRgtiqTJjSj4IhwLysQb2SX_LT0QzNdNLMBw_yolzChXQFlUBJaBomGFwfIdAeL7P5aZW_SRqdr6A7rJqMrazM/s320/DSC02534.JPG" /> Lovely!<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5573258516520949826" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJIDtkAWDs2QZIBA2GI2pYZQh3u2YvzMcqJw_-2EWhuRX1TrpGzlKOScBJgGFpEG_3L7v0RdksT-lAM0j4E6lET12O2vFVqHrXUIHikLM9ompF4wwtswbGRi4iu5cdULaJ-rJ-D3j4LTM/s320/DSC02541.JPG" />This picture is hanging in our kitchen. We have a phone <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">outlet</span> in our kitchen that doesn't screw into the wall very well. It sometimes just hangs there and it is kind of an eye sore so this painting is covering that up. It is another frame I had and just painted black. I picked out some <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">scrapbook</span> paper that I liked and put it in the frame. The saying and the flourish I did myself on the Silhouette. I cut it out on some vinyl and applied it to the outside of the frame. Because I change my mind quite often, I put the vinyl on the glass. That way I can change the paper out whenever I want!<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5573258510430481714" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgq-ZxUnPL8ydwhgZ9KJkLNT2QF5vFuV99YAbBT1kBJbjdqq9EavVH3LuNyHOu4B42D2Mp8UZQccQTK81hBeJwGt7jPuHoE-3fOl2242r1Lu4fgPQdW7oSVElS3H9VtOvI4yXNe4QgNdVM/s320/DSC02562.JPG" /> Looking back, I should have made the words a little bigger, but over all, I love how it turned out.<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5573258511693388306" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrYc91xb6kLBwfyaJf51wyI7Sysk8EpMA4EkZBBQaalgt-PzrWrNb2jo14o3FIR9elX0MSt96PnFPVy6RPqfTaC6sjTqQgf-bsqkRSsRgvVEkrJpzPtkB69hUCMRqsjRZNIIYZZFf3ezI/s320/DSC02539.JPG" />I see this picture everday, multiple times a day. This phrase is a constant reminder to find joy in whatever season I am in. No matter what trials, uncertainties, or problems I am having, it is a reminder to rejoice and find joy because our lives are a journey to a much better place. We are just passing through this life. Where we end up is undescribable. I am also reminded of Romans 8:18, "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is be revealed to us." (Thanks Krissy for sharing that verse with me) I have so much to be <em>thankful</em> for and even though I <em>will</em> encounter trials, I <em>will</em> learn to rejoice through them!<br /><br /><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-TOP: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT: 0px" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/130/165D34EFCF2E90E4080E785F03DDA044.png" /></a>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16998389494804233584noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360998335648998334.post-26004056316262198812011-02-01T12:53:00.005-05:002011-02-06T17:05:42.465-05:00Me and my new best friend...I am constantly amazed at what this thing can do! It is awesome. We have been spending a lot of time together. Probably time I should be cleaning, organizing, or <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">exercising</span>. But this is much more fun! This morning I have been doing lots with it. I still haven't mastered the fabric cutting, but I hope to be able to spend some more time on it soon. Here are a few things that I have done.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568783109565973954" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNkiFmeErSMrrl_cC_820GlMD9x_uqozXHQuR-w7OSaY-K6_YVPWDvdtL6U53Hmls2UUErlt0_uaAYoK1rWVmSdqcpWYhrJvilMIVOA2Aq0aFaNkaGji8ukl4d4ie_X80R7IxTkn4kj0A/s320/DSC02497.JPG" />These are some frames (the two smaller ones) I have had put away for a while. They were boxed up when we were "staging" our house to sell. They could use a painting, but for now thew will do.<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCUPz0p5lFirzy7N3FgrY0nYq9dcV-J8q0SsgQ0DKqu_iY7FLwwAHC_SJg4PFXLbfMWz6iI21kwXT07zTsPvSWeo7zkXWeuQjCssfrBDyk1Lh4afFKL_YBQ2awFfwfzVxy5CZnGkc72Sg/s1600/DSC02495.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568783110047952066" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCUPz0p5lFirzy7N3FgrY0nYq9dcV-J8q0SsgQ0DKqu_iY7FLwwAHC_SJg4PFXLbfMWz6iI21kwXT07zTsPvSWeo7zkXWeuQjCssfrBDyk1Lh4afFKL_YBQ2awFfwfzVxy5CZnGkc72Sg/s320/DSC02495.JPG" /></a> This was a sketch done with the Silhouette pen! I love this thing. I just ordered the metallic pens and I can't wait to see how they turn out. I don't have very much, actually none at all, Valentines decorations. So I figured I could make a few. These were quick and easy! My kind of craft!<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifC2Y8zRktyljCGcU2jRfx1sVWqQzgVrme-oy-uxRqnBP2fFdzp78tPoPup_y7olBsLYjhmEsCaxcZw0uBPnXUkKyjlX2G2wXFXGeSNNeqdRYbCVw_C2e3SiIsgql4F63rnwf1-L-T8bU/s1600/DSC02493.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568783105484290402" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifC2Y8zRktyljCGcU2jRfx1sVWqQzgVrme-oy-uxRqnBP2fFdzp78tPoPup_y7olBsLYjhmEsCaxcZw0uBPnXUkKyjlX2G2wXFXGeSNNeqdRYbCVw_C2e3SiIsgql4F63rnwf1-L-T8bU/s320/DSC02493.JPG" /></a> The first blooms from my <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Camellia</span> bush! I had to include it in the picture. I can't wait for the rest to bloom!</div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiErDquAOudOfCMij4dJc6WiDetob6aPp9ZnucEeCd6gNGBekM7BPNlUEhbfGg636VLQpjKv5WTARQmPidnNCI-2StYrhL0D1rnYSxG5Af3fgOXKCV8qx67ytjXjZrepMgbIT6mlnTPKMY/s1600/DSC02504.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568782558325591394" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiErDquAOudOfCMij4dJc6WiDetob6aPp9ZnucEeCd6gNGBekM7BPNlUEhbfGg636VLQpjKv5WTARQmPidnNCI-2StYrhL0D1rnYSxG5Af3fgOXKCV8qx67ytjXjZrepMgbIT6mlnTPKMY/s320/DSC02504.JPG" /></a> There is a narrow wall behind our couch that needed a little something. Looking at it now, it kind of looks like it should be in a diner with the diamond background. Oh well. There again, it was cheap and easy. The frame was a light brown wood. I repainted it mixing a green and white I already had.</div><div></div><div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtQefL98wFPWka4ydhZsOIn3qEy5BIkNEaUa8gEFMtcvEi_yUuNWO4SnGrydb_bDATHQhkccwe7EnUoFa6cbqzy5-fwFmeKofblFxdbj5rYNjYXCSwiniWbV67lpz_VYgLC0xX_ZXf4bQ/s1600/DSC02510.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568782556412903234" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtQefL98wFPWka4ydhZsOIn3qEy5BIkNEaUa8gEFMtcvEi_yUuNWO4SnGrydb_bDATHQhkccwe7EnUoFa6cbqzy5-fwFmeKofblFxdbj5rYNjYXCSwiniWbV67lpz_VYgLC0xX_ZXf4bQ/s320/DSC02510.JPG" /></a> This was a birthday gift. The buckle was cut out with the Silhouette. I think it really dresses up the gift.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnhhxoTUu5mwf1YjFOL757jBMy-7-yx7l5zgEfYuKFb6ePQRIff7nwFN2vN2e7ItQS9TzNP23IgzNiyJQhjwOfQL-ps4EWPXjfwgRE0vKSQa-5WEOhkPgF_lvKhgTMXS-xYP_7OeDRwPQ/s1600/DSC02487.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568782550881239890" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnhhxoTUu5mwf1YjFOL757jBMy-7-yx7l5zgEfYuKFb6ePQRIff7nwFN2vN2e7ItQS9TzNP23IgzNiyJQhjwOfQL-ps4EWPXjfwgRE0vKSQa-5WEOhkPgF_lvKhgTMXS-xYP_7OeDRwPQ/s320/DSC02487.JPG" /></a> Of course, card making is made much simpler. I have made a few other cards, but I was in a super hurry and did not take pictures. I have a bad habit of that. <div><div><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568782545629241298" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIsYFmgh_X9f7msZJYG5EGNP9UPJZmiksEY4PsOETKp6XanXh3xzLWfd8fShpFMCSJt31sLAyyzNyG2tj61ZAbBjkDDmQRL1ySjsq9OCAflmSfK-DY05FdfiCniBdJPnaGib_evYeDH6A/s320/DSC02507.JPG" /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568782532771820738" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi78Qkju7M5mvUeDVgulKpf0ThmM0Itw0kJnzLce33Vazx-qz3-2WbGKla6XxDnDM7yufamW4OdWfNux81p3hjZe-MEuruNkhEHmLiF6TvWW4-LSNESqH4L_7p8NC6lNNpB761gURbwp68/s320/DSC02489.JPG" /> <div></div><div></div><div></div>I hope to be posting more projects! I hope you all had a great Christmas! Ours was wonderful. Busy, quick, but very nice. I got to spend some time with my sisters (who are amazing, I think I have the best sisters in the world!) and my <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">niece</span> and nephew. It is always a joy to be around little ones during this season. Abby the youngest is about to turn 2 is into everything. She tried to pick up a dog's toy from their "toy box" with her mouth! She is too cute. And Manny was all over Pops and his airplane book.<br /><br />But getting on to one of the most amazing parts of my Christmas.... Remember I said I had two amazing sisters. Well, they are so amazing and thoughtful, they gave me one of these for my gift!<br /><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 190px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 149px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5564642403118104386" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwDPpMigtrSGHX6O604vjeKaLYc_G3h3vX1bizEg17efkflagjxBEtX7HG1vCDUj7iBgwOHPCgKl8f0056Q_0hWh5GnGisI6ZBJjO-L3MLcUsLP5OzOSL-xEGAOzwjv55gLymAoZeoh3w/s320/silhouette-machine-cutter-00.jpg" />I was so surprised and thankful! And excited! And speechless! They <em>way</em> over did themselves with this one! </p><p>The other amazing part of my Christmas was going skiing with my hubs out west. We had a blast skiing 4 days and resting in between. We <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">definitely</span> didn't need a vacation from our vacation when we got home. When we did get home we hit the ground running and haven't slowed down much. </p><p>I started watching a friend's two children 3 1/2 days a week. It is very enjoyable, but needless to say I haven't had much "craft/sewing time." Once I get use to the <em>working schedule</em> I hope to reserve Fridays for such a thing.</p><p>I have been able to play with my Silhouette and experiment with it a bit. I am trying to cut fabric with it, but haven't been 100% successful. Any tips or suggestions will be very much appreciated! I have many projects floating around in my head and hope to post on them soon. I have some vinyl and Silhouette pins on the way! I can't wait to start using them!</p><p>Even though it is a little late, Happy New Year and God Bless!</p><br /><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-TOP: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT: 0px" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/130/165D34EFCF2E90E4080E785F03DDA044.png" /></a>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16998389494804233584noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360998335648998334.post-91574143946678703902010-12-03T10:25:00.016-05:002010-12-09T13:09:23.363-05:00Finally! We are done!I know. This isn't a Christmas post. And it's to close to Christmas to be posting about anything else. But I really wanted to share this little (big) project. Remember this <strong><a href="http://sarah-craftywannabee.blogspot.com/2010/09/sneak-peak-to-another-project.html"><span style="color:#330099;">post</span></a></strong>? Yeah, probably have forgotten or given up because it has been so long. Well, we are finally done with it.<br /><br /><div><div></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5546478807033982706" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSESYodTkfk3wmKUdtpG4vfSCnCxYxriBjexSQ-ZEuta0OJceOZPD71c7_kRHiqWRg5bbXopgHggOB4qXklhCwg3Jo-PXm0eG-OQtUK728NRhFR8-aUacZU2mkBkTmvr-vexo5_tGr5Mk/s320/DSC02388.JPG" /></div><div>A long time ago, it has probably been about 10 years, I saw an episode of Trading Spaces in which Laurie Smith (by the way I love her style) did something similar. Ever since then I have wanted to do this. We had to retire our old (literally) rope bed that was for our guests. It was pretty unsteady and we had to give warnings before people slept in it. I am very surprised it never crumbled. So we needed a replacement and this was cheap and sassy!</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>I love how it turned out. I still have some work to do with all the accessories. I want to get an ivory colored <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">duvet</span> to replace this white coverlet. And as you will see in the later pictures, we need a bed skirt as well. I am also in the process of painting an end table. And then someday I will move on to getting curtains. I am at a loss on what to do. Any suggestions?</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5546478820027765538" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1zkyBo4Vq27uKq2mp29wXEdGhV7IuNMU1fclOIeUYNUf9Bq7bhk8Qt_GsKphcOSpw39n23pX9ru0sc5SMxAohpbjpgqouzZ2klJh4UdwtD00KUQkoauuq2URoIqOt_YOI0mVd0ybVPjw/s320/DSC02389.JPG" /></div><div>I have to give most of the credit to my wonderful hubs. I could not have done it without him. He worked very hard on this headboard to get it hung on the wall. That was no easy feat. I just hope it stays there!</div><div></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5546478814519425426" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYPdCdIk4-FDdHaA_AwyQes-NohH_N1XjDbftVY-CLf1eoyWHQOMoGijHV-S8xyPLrgspr_RE1Nhyphenhyphen2sf7F7uyybkrHDdV4vLGGU-5VvfSJ0ui0_RkvoOyMu-sH72iyQThC2lF6pCmEXeM/s320/DSC02392.JPG" />And of course I need to get an outlet plate to cover up all the outlet wires! Did anybody notice that? It is driving me crazy, but I just keep forgetting to put it on my list. And if it's not on my list it doesn't enter my mind when I am at the store. I am working on that. There is a dresser in front of the bed that you can't see in the picture. I want a really fun lamp, maybe blue or green. Actually, the color I am looking for is <em>cheap</em>! I had my dad cut plywood that was about 5/8" thick. I think he cut them to 18" square. Then I wrapped each board with batting and stapled it to the back. Then centered the fabric on each board and stapled it. Michael then took a really thin piece of plywood and screwed it on the back to attach all nine pieces together. He made key hole holes in the back and then we hung it. The hanging part sounds easier than it really was. There might be an easier way to do it, but after much brainstorming this was our best solution.<br /><br />Hope you have a great Friday and weekend!<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-TOP: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT: 0px" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/130/165D34EFCF2E90E4080E785F03DDA044.png" /></a><br /><br /><span style="font-size:85%;"></span><br /><span style="font-size:85%;">Linking to: </span><a href="http://todayscreativeblog.net/"><strong><span style="font-size:85%;color:#333399;">Today's Creative Blog</span></strong></a> &<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://tipjunkie.com/" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="handmade projects" src="http://www.tipjunkie.com/images/TipMeTuesdayButton1.png" width="119" height="132" /></a> <a href="http://www.thegirlcreative.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"><img alt="The Girl Creative" src="http://i456.photobucket.com/albums/qq286/happielife32/grab_button_150.png" width="106" height="129" /></a> <a href="http://bluecricketdesign.net/" target="_blank"><img style="WIDTH: 128px; HEIGHT: 129px" alt="Show and Tell Green" src="http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c201/rdulgarian/showandtellcopy-1.jpg" width="208" height="189" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.thethriftyhome.com/"><img border="0" alt=" http://www.thethriftyhome.com" src="http://www.thethriftyhome.com/images/pennypinchparty.gif" width="116" height="116" /></a> <a href="http://polkadotsandpizza.blogspot.com/"><img style="WIDTH: 104px; HEIGHT: 117px" border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e180/chellebell_24/BlogButton-1.jpg" width="100" height="140" /></a> <center></center><a style="MARGIN-LEFT: 1em; MARGIN-RIGHT: 1em; cssfloat: left" href="http://firefliesandjellybeans.blogspot.com/search/label/Show%20Off%20Your%20Stuff%20Party" target="_blank" border="0"><img src="http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd3/fjnorm/ShowOffYourStuffPartyButton2.jpg" width="116" height="105" /></a><a href="http://www.theshabbychiccottage.net/" target="_blank" border="0"><img style="WIDTH: 121px; HEIGHT: 112px" src="http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb119/tightwadtips/blog%20design/transformation-thursday-button2.png" width="130" height="137" /></a><a href="http://lifeaslori.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"><img style="WIDTH: 122px; HEIGHT: 112px" border="0" alt="Get your craft on Thurs." src="http://opipdesigns.com/blogs/lorij/craft.jpg" width="156" height="170" /></a><br /><br /><center><a href="http://lifeaslori.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"></a></center><br /><br /><center><a href="http://lifeaslori.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"></a></center>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16998389494804233584noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360998335648998334.post-52173622147953994942010-11-10T10:16:00.005-05:002010-11-10T10:43:39.157-05:00One down, many more to go.<div><div>One project that is. And many more to go. But that's fine by me! There will always be another project. This has been on my list for a long time. I never did anything with it because I never had a place for it. But now I do. My mom gave me this when I was in college. It was nice for my apartment, but I am trying to keep the college memorabilia to one room, the study. Coat hangers don't have much of a place in a study so it was time to fix this baby up.</div><div> </div><div></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5537940732755558562" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMJ2tD74OvQi7EhVS8FJLTo2NCTpi6kTdkVqM9uNODO2Ae0YMLOkndq3XOsFwBmmzXTcbEsMkNWggz-VkkQ6Yg-VWYPOnYkuPQe4vQmmdHf0rHhmujhRPY4C-Ojp5KKI4xAzxM-yRlO3g/s320/DSC02341.JPG" />I added a few coats of black satin spray paint. Then where the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">GSU</span> part is showing I cut out some fabric and mod <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">podged</span> it on. Then finished with another layer on top. I couldn't stop there because it needed an extra touch. I added some crimson colored fabric flowers (not red because then it would be red and black and we are not big fans of red and black) to finish it off.</div><div> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5537940743173201570" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDt4s18rSdbC4-HalBA5cP3Gq9fzcvXhcjXbhqvTjFDXQ_PeeN5p43RvZgH7Avy96liERpQ28LTzzdRCWcAGifV5L0pckNxl9Qq3Gj54kHXsJtUhmQV43OwIzLmth3hSC6rqaGvxhJXJA/s320/DSC02344.JPG" />I love how it turned out. I am scouring the house to find some things to go on top. I have a few ideas, but of course I would have to spend money. </div><div><br />This is the entrance from the garage. The dresser below is facing the garage door. This is another project. I want to paint it and glaze it. I can't decide to go green or blue. And of course I would like something for the wall above the dresser. </div><div> </div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5537945052465855186" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPLqgFCWqrH3PheEc_v90V5gj6UddbGxBoQ8BgABgJH3aWmYmtySSuNzruAJa7iKWcPD5TBn8iNpFkUfkfJarN1hhs6nnQCkl6Vw2nLobfjQkcEzLiG5QkooWwvcqbFjz6fi5LAvAa-7w/s320/DSC02348.JPG" /></div><div>Putting it to good use!</div><div> </div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5537945058660452178" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkf37hfBtyxvj2Sjh5pnE1RqMsE_bqyefojFc8ny5y9EBWDCp9VMPssXqXEoTN9nXZGhkkwOWT_6EHvkEozyRfbShFgo22OPtapzmWcArBIdCy97ygZ0z6oUgmPn0X8ClirRAvAu6Fx3Y/s320/DSC02352.JPG" /></div><div> </div><div>Pretty flowers.<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5537945061475722242" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhLMTK50Nlek-5fJ8MQcF-cSmZ2izYSj1SJxoc3O3h6XbIv4lDaFPpyAD-zcjec1L0dGXI_llVC6nqMR6-MCDJ-gq24ATgIUFN9zOnq7Ocz4dbHn_AVju4vLEBaN7_EGt17df7ZydvFjc/s320/DSC02353.JPG" /> <div><br /><div><div></div><div></div><div>Enjoy your beautiful fall day!</div><div> </div><div><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-TOP: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT: 0px" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/130/165D34EFCF2E90E4080E785F03DDA044.png" /></a></div></div></div></div>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16998389494804233584noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360998335648998334.post-90398227469512209142010-10-15T15:41:00.000-04:002010-10-24T16:11:54.972-04:00House PicturesSo here are the pictures I began to post last time, but got a little distracted.... Here is our front entrance. The beautiful wreaths were given to me as a house warming gift from my lovely mom. I added the yellow bows. I think I eventually want to paint the doors green. I have realized that greens are my favorite color, as you will soon find out too... Anyway, I am thinking about Great Green from Sherwin-Williams. That might take a little more convincing from the hubs.<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522423788760047650" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidlknw85F09MM8bIV8voB3e6bfo8i7RZeh_l29FTWc_rij9ZqNbsEQiIiejkXmTmrTd6Ng70gHN6Y-YIVxxsDimTffe7FWZ8NtLFE7e4_OHF3fZfm2IVjs9SogQOEKIZpFLngsZDB9X9c/s320/DSCN2409.JPG" /> <p>I don't have a picture of the whole front of the house. That will have to come later. 1) because I don't feel like doing it (I just got done running six miles) and 2) there is a guy from water <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">billing</span> in my front yard and I have no idea what he is doing. I don't want to bother him!</p><p>Here is our courtyard in the front of the house. It is to the right of the picture above. It has a beautiful crape myrtle tree and lots of plants. I don't know exactly what I want to do with this area, but I do plan to add an herb garden in here somewhere.</p><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522423802667943378" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg35UvXmcRZVPvZlW7SIS3sLCHpl0tRsqzsDcLuFSYAdaZXxNTfAP4rqG6f0EGsjD0EHBnHPgXHNZtdo9JYioGoXeO3QRAVC2LGm_bz58CB8N3sv3cuIee30rlqvcgLz8yot4WsQMMNpXM/s320/DSCN2413.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522423797039190818" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLk4qXf-qsgY0r5xjkGs7-dlbbZQIh_-RS77zj1siBeh8ZyPahshMPUBnuhJTyObF51od3TjhPH0qQMh48QKl2YPP2GdSmmFn9lVzt3Mt4r4nIuHjANMaP7DcElHyFQ-w2whesSUJamdc/s320/DSCN2410.JPG" />Here is our backyard. I have never seen one like this. It has been raining non-stop today. And Monday was the same. I am not complaining; I am so thankful for it. It has been so dry here lately. We really need it. Even though it has been raining, it has been such a pretty day. Sort of bright and cheery. And even getting out in the rain today hasn't been a hindrance. It has been a nice change of pace from the hot, muggy weather we have been having.<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522437005090588034" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg96liFzrfKks5vgDMXd6ugmmCKvDXIWopTGTTsVcxkpuYzHul62Ec8v-ZUgkBp9LSBGR3PhpwWhDA9Cm-WHaJDa7BUsiQmjxDyarNfUJW3ULJubeGQRwZ65Qvfh43oENoVp7oxN-JRZ8Y/s320/Spring+09+092.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522437008594461746" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHwA4kJ7m7BWnSswvFlK2JfVwkrVUqllub9JW7gqHNp_HZvJ_Kq62OuJasZ8YBphLD9b_kZenDkbWrLrl_keqcpNS52KaByLeWZdhP7Nxbhgh6qfmMXRn5_oXJhEM8fUdKjI5f7S4qEWU/s320/Spring+09+094.jpg" />Today reminds me of a similar day. I was visiting my sister when she had her last baby, Abby. One day it was raining and had been all day. The older kids were getting stir crazy from being inside so we decided to go outside and play in the rain. They had so much fun running and driving tractors through the puddles. That is one of my favorite memories. Hannah who didn't like to get dirty was soaked and was screaming with laughter running through the puddles. Manny and Hannah were making mud patties. They had so much fun playing with their ordinary toys, but in a whole new way.<br /> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522437529751383042" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisWXva82M-fCTNHQseB5WSvHqS1EOXuen5p_B-YD3FXP1cEPbttj83goBo6Aia1hnLuP8vfCTN7kVh8R0xDQZQkbhaRjllwdyYpuIrEiH9oEcGGwFcunMrbPaydKSH9JVBpu3YjRzBGk0/s320/Spring+09+095.jpg" /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522437534067017058" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxYP_29FHeluTyuiv4zqqshsIKidmPuTMggyMXB9szt0moC68HzSuKQcpLPQ1KMjEIiYzziW6ESXLyVSvi7kK0S8Ei1iQtRIeaLvp73_D1_f42NTv_Y278cwpR3v3IYOL0J87Ka8OzQE8/s320/Spring+09+096.jpg" />Rain can often be such a burden sometimes. We have to deal with getting wet while getting in and out of our cars. And even though we have an umbrella, getting in the car and collapsing the umbrella while <em>not</em> getting wet is a trick I have not mastered! Then we have to deal with wet shoes and tracking in leaves and water into the house. I think you get the picture. But rain is a necessity for life. We need it, the Earth needs it.<br /><br /><div><div><div><div><div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522436993585262402" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0waBCDNPj8a2YYjodPX_DtL2BX5sd4xjHM50i9PgPeiL_iHAi6P-BPacwRQJ_2JXfCOb1lae2FL84vufngn5h31dICDYjerCS4qdbizw60j5_d9Hpd0IN-FOFFdf8x9LnXtiO2UUNpEc/s320/Spring+09+089.jpg" /></div><div>Thinking about that day reminds me to appreciate even the most inconvenient situations. The rain was a burden that day. We couldn't go out for a walk around the block or play on the swing set without the obvious happening, getting wet. So we decided to take what we were given and make the most of it. There was no lightening so playing in the rain was harmless. Even though we had to get the kids inside and in the bathtub while they were <em>strongly</em> protesting it was <em><strong>all</strong></em> worth it. I will always be reminded to make the most out of every moment, every situation, because you never know when one of the variables in the equation will change. </div><div> </div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522436987880929378" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo-l6oJjIHpFJGQLe-FkYqZc6Bea9LIgy0OgVB8uyev3sKIY4z9IENNyMJ4YUGUSHTnJTcdTXcAVLLQNOkcViJ01bg244suWg1w_7P9ZO8cxNYLXF9aWtDoUaGfTG59WoJui5dxAcIaXQ/s320/Spring+09+088.jpg" /></div><div>I would love to run through the puddles again with Hannah, but that will have to wait until a later time. Who knows, she might be running through mud puddles now, but in a much better place. </div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522436998687632978" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjv2u7pyL8Opi8WE9w9vwbxATgCWLJ88PTwrqsYrg4bNJL51vxihf3xtwXupcQhrKKIP6HYDuL8r1Dou_iEYIZ8MW1k6x3_9cewqX3qJkQqOuc3-oI6GYpx4pzPzNgBP-7Ftx7L8KAFfmw/s320/Spring+09+091.jpg" />I hope you are able to find joy in <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">un</span>-enjoyable situations. Since this post has turned out to be pretty long, I will post house pictures later.<br /><br />I hope you all have a great day. I have been wanting to do this project for a <em>long</em> time and finally have the space to do it. Here is a sneak peak of part of the project.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519117044081980434" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKxvm_WJFa_aFXMKw9WnPOvcCx3wJeSQ70DorT6NoUQQkBZTLay1NtpgccU74PMuq3h6lkv39R_OKrVQXwcNQDvc_ATIEI6w0EZoutWZiXyoUfSQVUjcsiQIcoPWSMaWcsbAOIRoE2wzE/s320/DSC02297.JPG" /><br />Doesn't look like much I know. But if it turns out the way I think, it will look great! I can't show you anymore because that is about all I have done so far! Hopefully I will be done in the next day or two and then it is up to hubs to help finish the rest. So who knows how long that will be =) I will hopefully be showing the complete project by next week.<br /><br />Have a great Monday!<br /><br /><div><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-TOP: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT: 0px" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/130/165D34EFCF2E90E4080E785F03DDA044.png" /></a></div>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16998389494804233584noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360998335648998334.post-38650135670269674952010-09-14T11:28:00.005-04:002010-09-14T12:03:40.413-04:00What we've been up to latelyWell, we finally moved!!! About 2 1/2 weeks ago! We are very blessed to have been able to buy this house. We are in a great neighborhood with great neighbors. I still can't believe we live here. I will post some pictures of the outside of our house soon.<br /><br />We were very close to buying another house, but it didn't work out. At first I was really upset about it, but looking back I am very thankful for the way things turned out. God had His gracious hand in this process and blessed us with a much nicer home that is in a better neighborhood and has more character. This house is definitely one we will grow into and not out of. I hope to be here for a long time.<br /><br />So, as with any move, there has been a lot of unpacking.<br /><div><br /><div></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516792476436259234" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihEjeXGYWCYA0m0-axG6EqG00xw7uOe180FqVfxkpYkPQLY9lxWfMtGs617AvJ5ohr8TcH9zpMWU2xFE9kQd9zFWpobK-cbjjxfYQ6bd1Mgj0UXb5aCm4G12_Q6ut2xQBx9EOycUCZPZU/s320/DSCN2393.JPG" /></div><div></div><div>I realized, I don't mind packing up, but unpacking is not very much fun. I feel like everything is in total chaos, but I know our home will be in order soon. <em>Hopefully!</em></div><div><em></em></div><div>Now we have to get ride of all these boxes! Anyone need boxes!! </div></div><div></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516792486218028498" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1wJyWocVSNwU5pT7u-i_UAE420qPtnm7TIYpGmD3b0AvXe0chDmTlSPd6vpzgfQIATdvA3ss297J1QvtYWab2W10ltUFFS_JCuP1fwysMw6ETmF-E-kZ7HoNAbpc4FW-2fn-RQjO_epM/s320/DSCN2394.JPG" />I feel like I just keep creating piles of stuff and not doing anything with them! This is a goodwill pile that I keep putting off taking.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516792490769661458" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB1KAxvmDCGvAqImx2RAt4KUGE8GcSEteu3o10gco4paVRV80P2Dl_XM-Bx85u_1-C69wS6GQ0oNTmrNieYmV3e2Dzi313F803GxIUMVHR9JGnfiUuz4FpWcL056RfiAE1SCHu5U479K0/s320/DSCN2395.JPG" />Here are more piles of stuff I don't know what to do with. This room will eventually be my craft room, but until then it is a catch all. I just need to dedicate a full day to this room. I can't wait to get all my sewing stuff here and paint the room a cheery, inspiring color!<br /><br />In between all the unpacking and putting things away I had to break out the paint brush and paint. My first home improvement project: paint the half bath. We have one half bath downstairs that needed some color. It is still not 100% complete, but it looks much better. The tile in this bathroom is original to the house. It looks really neat.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516792493271366082" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkwGPasLBETJhQILzme43vLLBDajakAh3fKFD81HKAAIwe4WdNaDf-lC4Bm_tThfUUrmv0UNwQ0Y4pZ9iJaKTr-62eP4lZ4yPQsUNKwdXt4zfjD2t9MfxPXXs1Li4JBj3whMiKLlQFsdM/s320/DSC02287.JPG" /> This picture doesn't do it justice. I wanted to pick up a color that was complementary of this tile and was a little bold.<br /><br />Here are some pictures before.<br /><br /></div><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516792948893811762" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxm4vcVpgI70GDginoQDpR9wJ8D9Jk7Oa1_KU-AT4tzvXqXUiocim1_JTlrr6ZkdWuxq3_29tLeaw4jvR_mHi7b1JWCuItPLnrIeUjvrNol8uU8xKPavI3Z9Mq9NmjneRhl7-HkvbcQS4/s320/DSC02280.JPG" /> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516792940593408738" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVLe7CoGbxhKJb5gNv9KNMJt31-KopA_KGBpCO8Ff0_1oo3BRJgls9m_J4mmbu63MLnttQw8PczXkWfnTkPu_RvuFDQCBopO7rRErnzlOYrMF8vjfiluAAWFLVGtKr0ip_q_qevF1hixI/s320/DSC02279.JPG" /> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516792504731031794" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggTd-Gd0rIKsPX2lpsSsQDroY7zxJAqUf3PHJ2lCPiSmD5H-lZjdojK3CcHJ4DqpD0fyTxLemIbji3JYlUSVrmkPsb6V8nQLk-z_RzbshBfKhaCrxKBg0UMsADtnjGj6itgigz9tOVj2E/s320/DSC02283.JPG" /> It had textured wallpaper that wasn't too bad. It was just a little too neutral for me. It really needed some color. While sitting on the bathroom floor with my sister-in-law I came across Exclusive Plum by Sherwin-Williams. I really liked the color and it became one of the top choices. A couple days later I came across a list of colors I had picked out for the other house that fell through. One of those colors was Exclusive Plum, and I was going to use it in the half bath of that house also. These were so easy and quick to make. This first one was kind of an uh-oh, but I like how it turned out. It is slightly long on Abby, but I fixed that and hope to have pictures to show you soon. I went to visit my sister and her son and daughter yesterday. While the kids were napping I got a hold of this dress to shorten it a bit. On each side and in the center of the front and back, I sewed a basting <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">stitch</span> the length it needed to be shortened. Then I pulled it tight creating ruffles and then tied the thread off. It <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">resembled</span> a roman shade. I think it will look much cuter than this long dress.<br /><br /><div></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506756124922835186" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtCZknVE_etvQ6tGCGVqqHQ2cnU3C_wSQnOdudbnt2uA8x9Aus5Cn5MSzhzAPwit62lrRt150wXIt_vjZTjPZ4qyB4_X_xWNsNRgycH7qvtSb_7PA014P-S_ab2pjuqNVWqY9fo4IkrWc/s320/pencil+dress5.jpg" /><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506756118178792690" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOzCD4rDYrexhgHxK4UQOTivgCWx6Yn36UtPuH3GiAA8pNoyW066dD4rJ7tGpPIJ6a_lZQBJ4_qnMQOUWo8Da90iLwBG82fYRoDkdNeY02Kmg7pcKFzUgEzfuaxB_DCrT-GzXitMg0liY/s320/pencil+dress.jpg" /></div><div></div><div>The yellow dress is adorable on her. It is a bit long too, but she will be able to wear it for a while. I used this tutorial <a href="http://createanddelegate.blogspot.com/2010/04/tutorial-j-crew-inspired-girls-dress.html">here</a> which is very easy to follow. This is the dress I was trying to make with the orange fabric, but I cut my fabric the wrong size. <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Oops</span>. Oh well, I think it turned out cute. I love the cross over <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">straps</span> on the back! <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error">Ok</span>, back to the yellow dress. I don't have any pictures of Abby wearing it, but maybe soon. Instead of standard, flat straps, I created ruffled straps which I think turned out really cute. And of course, the fabric flower was added for some extra cuteness.<br /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506756136356409266" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggc5ble83fa6LwL3poufPuEtd93NSXamM1VquZhOmz0ECMu0y72Y3Qj6ouU8viY64Jz0Xjolgy6QvuvY8CiFBG3CcFOsALmZd4BSvNUCkNGC0N0usGgi65jujSbxPKqmApDoAhRcOQlHo/s320/DSCN2376.JPG" /> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506761633883558802" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggVbzFtWhH-hgXflp2dzNumxhUGLOJQCrAjrdDwAzSXUKtWTP_LETwXHRd46sC3Sp2-qMhANLA43sfXQipjbjpLHrkGxeJ0tK97IMFwFwlxm_ZjiUd3BeEmyAd79XWKbFlZTGc7upNLw8/s320/DSCN2378.JPG" /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-TOP: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT: 0px" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/130/165D34EFCF2E90E4080E785F03DDA044.png" /></a></div></div>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16998389494804233584noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360998335648998334.post-64632208380129680172010-08-03T10:31:00.000-04:002010-08-03T10:57:30.076-04:00Have you heard????Have you heard about the new craze? The <a href="http://www.qksilhouette.com/"><strong><span style="color:#993399;">Silhouette</span></strong></a>? I have been hearing about it, but I had my eyes set on something else. Well Amy over at <a href="http://www.theidearoom.ne/"><strong><span style="color:#993399;">The Idea Room</span></strong></a> has a giveaway on a Silhouette. So I decided to check it out and see what all the fuss is about. I really like it. I think I might change my mind and ask for one of these for Christmas. <span style="font-size:85%;">(<em>Please</em> Santa I have really been good this year!) </span><span style="font-size:100%;">This bad boy can create vinyl lettering, it has a heat transfer tool so you can make really cool, custom t-shirts or pillows. You can also use it for glass etching, which I think is awesome! Check it out sometime, you might find a new best friend too!</span><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-TOP: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT: 0px" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/130/165D34EFCF2E90E4080E785F03DDA044.png" /></a>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16998389494804233584noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360998335648998334.post-25858080685244536692010-07-30T09:05:00.000-04:002010-07-30T09:36:04.552-04:00iPod Shuffle Cozy<div><div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQ8vgDT30ZukgD-aLowVPlSna5X2VLUbqW3Vu2n_wkOUG1QQBnB9z1TZQwNt7PRhdg4q1zpjLalL2cVXQ3wJNTTCVIjwMhN5kV17LnzBs6PRXM8U7WVorFuCxw243TpV1nHXTBWx1rG0Q/s1600/DSCN2362.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5499689133899441922" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQ8vgDT30ZukgD-aLowVPlSna5X2VLUbqW3Vu2n_wkOUG1QQBnB9z1TZQwNt7PRhdg4q1zpjLalL2cVXQ3wJNTTCVIjwMhN5kV17LnzBs6PRXM8U7WVorFuCxw243TpV1nHXTBWx1rG0Q/s320/DSCN2362.JPG" /></a>My sweet, wonderful hubby and I just celebrated our six year anniversary. He surprised me with an <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">iPod</span> Shuffle. I was very surprised because 1) we already celebrated our anniversary with our Jamaica trip and 2) he does not like the "<em>a</em>" word products (hint: it is a fruit as well). He even admitted that he broke one of his rules. But I love my Shuffle. I was unsure about not being able to choose a certain song, but I thought the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">Nano</span> was too big. It turned out perfect for running and that is what I will mainly use it for. I made my sister a <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_7" class="blsp-spelling-error">iPod</span> cozy for her birthday, but once again I forgot to take pictures of it. I loved how it turned out. This is the tutorial I <a href="http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/?p=740"><strong><span style="color:#993399;">used </span></strong></a>. These cozies are super easy to make and they take no time at all. You could even make one for a camera or phone. Since my <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_8" class="blsp-spelling-error">iPod</span> is smaller I changed the dimensions a bit. I cut out two 3 1/2 x 10 strips. The final dimensions are about 3 x 4 (and that is just a <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_9" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">guesstimate</span> because I am to lazy to get up and get a ruler!) And instead of elastic I used an old stretched out thin, hair rubber band. I made the cozy a little bigger than what was necessary because I wanted it big enough to hold the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_10" class="blsp-spelling-error">USB</span> connector too. It all fits perfectly. I love it!</div><div></div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5499689147967110482" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjNXZnQoSfl1OJOiX-5j50CCNWSSrf0pFgtSTqFabuLH6TloCHG_MAlNwFM-8aCgrrX6bpLZechVUsenL8XXDeZ8dNgE4iLFDxIh1lRKXqd147HPWQk7GQmoBh6C3mxm6BiA1iHkL37I0/s320/DSCN2367.JPG" /></div><div></div><div>I hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!</div><div></div><div> </div><div><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-TOP: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT: 0px" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/130/165D34EFCF2E90E4080E785F03DDA044.png" /></a></div></div>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16998389494804233584noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360998335648998334.post-70885619117587909772010-07-26T09:53:00.000-04:002010-07-26T10:27:39.418-04:00Baby Girl SweetnessA friend of mine had a baby shower yesterday. She is having a girl which is great because it is so easy to whip up some <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">girly</span> gifts. All I had to buy was the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">onesies</span> and the diaper wipes case. Which reminds me that I forgot to take a picture of it!!! Ugh! I hate when that happens. It was so cute with zebra fabric and pink ribbon and a green fabric bow. Oh well, maybe I can sneak a picture of it later.<br /><br />So, all the fabric I used was scrape fabric leftover from other projects. Awesome! It's always a good feeling when you don't have to run to the fabric store to make some really cute gifts. Especially when there isn't a good fabric store near you!<br /><br />So here is a little dress that I made from a <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">onesie</span>. I didn't cut it, it still has the snaps on the bottom. I love how this turned out. I will post a tutorial a little later. <br /><br /><strong>Disclaimer</strong>: Please excuse the wrinkled sheet background. As stated before, I am not a photographer! Maybe one day I will get a little better at taking pictures. <br /><div> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498214114488231842" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4BKv5WzPvw6ACM5_k-hb0Bmmg_o_5tykL4xn5ypnSlVwCV8ZHWPoVXtf8Pmjru9nOUncYyaQhVqMpAG0teFC8FHxYqHiwJF0ZMAjzjmf9BGz3N6ctj-ZA2xFrBgCgPKEmpdDkVTxmC9g/s320/100_0927.jpg" />Next: <a href="http://www.u-createcrafts.com/2009/05/ruffle-butt-onesie-tutorial.html"><span style="color:#663366;"><strong>The Ruffle Butt <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">Onesie</span></strong></span></a>. I have been wanting to make this one for a while. So here it is....</div><div><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498214086253873890" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuYBlocLYVU1baYTxjNtUXjlVfEYilX0ZdKcEfyEMOSiWm9UR_LXbxxXu6uP7Qa_EsUAGWBPr0-4_4W4rLNpAnRCF5awjFLqRFO2YVXWZRxUNMGSXShOFeZFgyAW8mFjENvH4nYKLKpTo/s320/100_0916.jpg" /> <div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498214091621930050" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoIgGo4-ViSXhzWHkDHbJpMynKKDDgwpSxY5M05lz6aQ7YRFFFlN6lwQivQqFa-FhWfy0LvnaOMRjNUc050boaatgQXVBDNWg_12jSBgiRRtw7Gp2yjBzT969jMwjECowN-hDmxV6fiXg/s320/100_0919.jpg" /> Unfortunately, I don't have a model for this one. I can't wait to see it on! I did this a little different than the tutorial. I don't have a <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error">serger</span> and I am not a fan of the fabric fraying. So, I sewed a tube and turned it right-side out and then created the ruffle. I love how it turned out. I can't wait to make some more.</div><div> </div><div>And then you can never have enough burp cloths right? At least so I am told. So I made a couple. This one I really like because it curves in in the center so it contours to your neck. It looks like a big bone, but I think it will work very nicely.</div><div> </div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498214100514451042" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9B75nph0o5NZ3rqbwXWGBeyy7BI1m_gGJxdiysHRsyCSiivRyI4WqiPLvNkFFZ2rjXRo5kr3TMIa3o-o5vAy1UEtdgfOaVKTxFxkfByC2PD55NRUApFZ8yf51ys7KqKDybcnLQ41jwMc/s320/100_0923.jpg" />Although it's not shown here (I swear I took more pictures than this! I don't know what happened to the others! Ugh!) the other side is a microfiber dish towel. That should be super absorbent!<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498214113140961602" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi47I71JKRxMTUla6RatkR2iMgRF3Hkj83AhNb1ICX9u5pbCBn_kwcZYpDfW3FvckGrbVbC4O-HJtpxiRMjNuCpVgyIoN27ZZw0blKv7UW3Xf-5_xj6Y9qn4R23RFCwL7KJzCfmMcQAflQ/s320/100_0924.jpg" />I still have lots of scraps so I hope to start stockpiling some of these items to have them on hand when needed! <br /><br /><div>I hope you enjoy and have a Happy Monday!</div><div> </div><div><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-TOP: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT: 0px" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/130/165D34EFCF2E90E4080E785F03DDA044.png" /></a></div></div></div></div>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16998389494804233584noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360998335648998334.post-5001988775106551552010-07-12T08:52:00.000-04:002010-07-12T09:10:03.757-04:00Has anyone tried this yet...<span style="font-family:times new roman;font-size:130%;color:#333399;"><strong>GLASS ETCHING</strong></span>? I love this stuff. I could easily get addicted to this. This was a trifle dish that I have had for a while. I found the design online somewhere and traced it and the T. I used clear contact paper to trace it on and I think it worked great. Then I attached it to the glass and gobbed on the Armor Etch, twice for 10 minutes each.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493002801430669810" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7VVXEfbxaOWovpYNkLRtycvskwHprIyjU4hU4CMo5bR83bmkkbgBNCFv-1GkIHeduOpIUyPFR8BqkYbxzG0WEcexrnDP8Zioggx6MP2T4vbmII2sgXVJ3TksA4R4_1DXw4fohynkAOrU/s320/DSC02206.JPG" /><br />This stuff is amazing. The hardest part is drawing and cutting out the design; especially if you don't have stencils or a nifty <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">Cricut</span> machine (which I am hoping that Santa will bring me one for Christmas).<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493002821031405506" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg7oVoY5haQXPn7h9Ouwdp-RXcJ6ULXczCvpuB1WDMEjU2AWUpCoP8DU-Jyh74sJ9qV6u1TY67X7vY6xetugCAtw92eQkYXyogtasFwrUh9MXNHC0kc-DqVkrNvxHdfS8nXR20QYTPCDU/s320/DSC02209.JPG" /><br />I <em>love </em>how it turned out...<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493002818780350050" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxTEY-XX90JSC4OcXcywz7VMH1_BxSQL9khz2kAgcKtK2aepKvj-jvHNQlqGcN3dmBvwyU7JvJx0hHyaW00flHfZVGIr6mxYhab6CI1oCC8iZYzNfJANsbVjJ_WyiytRI7UaywfLwX3m4/s320/DSC02208.JPG" /><br />Sorry about the lovely pictures and the backdrop. I was in a hurry and couldn't think of a good background. And we are still in our rental (which I am very thankful for), but the wood paneling walls don't make for a very good background!<br /><div></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493002807506527282" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_Be3hWYI594JgG7tda2F5b8WsUZo_zV0t11Xv4M37_Fcu7Mmj2V6_N2-Mv3QKwyl8gHR6n2lms9IoJVUrQ0dtGfoVqQbzhjM7yIRMqKcvefjBNJ-_64EFSqxHPEJ_LBZn5sCbIOL93FU/s320/DSC02207.JPG" />I think I might start getting out all my glass casserole dishes and putting my mark on them next. This would also be great wedding gifts. These book slipcovers are so easy and fun to make. I gave these two to my mother for Mother's Day. She loved them and is asking for some more for her friends. I made two different sizes. One for smaller paperbacks and one for larger paperbacks.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5488212090048688898" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLEWfy-DqFDGex68YzcOsBIqgztTpsOtm_rOnqyP1xhV2TF8HBdw9YFlayBzCAqpYIgG3KeL6GJjiKRxtonRwXLEJuFR1cvUVZundWzv6LirAoGsxOnxyCLy8i5AgYrmY06f0ypdsuPQQ/s320/DSCN2205.JPG" />You can make them reversible too! The one on top is not reversible because I added the flower embellishment. But if you want to leave off the embellishments, you can make it reversible.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5488212348202851970" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVXhXd8IDhaHa2ge_eHWW5McCxlBlSFKN7j8z2JYslHhUFMTWkcLdEqzXmKintrToXT-EO-ON-iii4H1mKuHoEdTeaH00HQ8E-6l9eGMqT2HApcFX4uZu16tJ45X7v6HikXq-kZE12hOs/s320/DSCN2210.JPG" /><br /><div>This one is reversible. </div><div></div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5488212097363088386" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwkGvT06s7NhZ2MNu04fsIzDtmNJY4-naAj7gjzLEWA9Od1ZUN879tFCNeknns0-7Ia6aboKDX0ABS0CR3hB67yWGmKcxm8q-X1DKpTgicNn4ZHievypJ7qS_DKcdMQz366oyBUKAMWgU/s320/DSCN2206.JPG" />This is the inside of the slipcover, but it can be reversed to make it the outside.<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwcSWjF5gAc8uXbAtOeH2SGLGAuiLXp8rGnRAzg0CwGTVaef10p_wUzWki0_bkr6cEd1X8SGzfDUt9hLbY2rE8QP3sYCypd45x-WY_77_JCRQmPqkNpCkBTW-funUGJAT0UnwX-keTCKY/s1600/DSCN2208.JPG"></a><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5488212333761112242" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgqBYrRlwzJ21SthhR7HSRFeR5LvbzbKn6B7lnHMOijUN8GruLbMpbHgI4ZtPcA9cGbbFazbAUPcjwCliu7TPtoqeaL_xtVLbj3KWQWqAYPziii6geYg0GWOll5mZKK4Z4337EzroptYg/s320/DSCN2208.JPG" />This is a great way to use up some scrapes and protect your books from all the fun stuff that comes with summer - i.e. pool water, suntan lotion, <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">popsicles</span>, etc.<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRoOgPsSzXZZWqd29kKMmammgAH_hVjQggldcF49x5UT4G9VnB0TDkYu10-EUnF09y05bbDLJ8mXGToS9HVgTFv8ApKXyzAEh3qILWLKGmSJ4ODB6156kXi19dWu-xfqx3LCZq6nmupm0/s1600/DSCN2217.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5488212107813703954" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRoOgPsSzXZZWqd29kKMmammgAH_hVjQggldcF49x5UT4G9VnB0TDkYu10-EUnF09y05bbDLJ8mXGToS9HVgTFv8ApKXyzAEh3qILWLKGmSJ4ODB6156kXi19dWu-xfqx3LCZq6nmupm0/s320/DSCN2217.JPG" /></a></div><div>I hope you enjoy some summer reading in style!</div><div></div><div><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-TOP: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT: 0px" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/130/165D34EFCF2E90E4080E785F03DDA044.png" /></a></div></div></div>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16998389494804233584noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360998335648998334.post-70829416937258871692010-06-25T09:43:00.000-04:002010-07-12T08:22:20.513-04:00I'm Still Here...Hello? I didn't know what I wanted to do with them, but I <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">definitely</span> wanted to use up some scrapes! I had a pink long-sleeve shirt that had some small holes towards the bottom. So I cut off the sleeves to make it short <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">sleeve</span>. With the part cut off I made some ruffles and sewed it around the neckline. The bottom ruffle was a little off center and it was driving me <em>crazy!</em> I had two choices: remove the bottom ruffle and try sewing it on again, or adding another design to cover up the mistake. I opted to create something to cover up the mistake. I didn't want to chance re-sewing the ruffle because my luck the same thing would happen again! I created this cute flower out of the same fabric and attached it. I hope it holds up in the wash!!!<br /><div> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5469635973141539810" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifKpNqx5eBhf4aKgUb5JUwp5y9-eLZ_4kdsyg4gCYOoH_C6a-sSMmGuIUE2DBF6yRaTPRtfA-q4XWy3_wiHZ32BzAZACDFgteKU4IIG8-Wn9AX09eFd6rs3RtIO36stRcpKZmPKEQdMDI/s320/100_0864.jpg" />Here's a close up. <div> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5469635780565076802" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpr_4zOYS6gz7KccWclk7g-_ed7VIssiiCBV0oVfHtOOi3JccGMAq8E_8dvpL0yfgvzM_qk7WjwaRR8R_dcM02_wSX3WmFa13fcZwkT8oE8ssQC17nvhzHlU93fqbh5dVssHpA763ZGpg/s320/100_0862.jpg" />And another ruffled collar. This is left over from another project. I sewed two stripes together on three sides, leaving one short side open to turn. I slip-<span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">stitch</span> the end closed and sewed down the middle with a long straight stitch to create the ruffles. Then sewed it on the shirt. I think it will be adorable on the little princess.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5469635770482201250" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0xecT57rRoFOVzrUbkbFGhQj9k0X9NP8sBCBKiLt496vTVQo-3gVw7L9gcCgwdXYZIJYtfRkkGHjD8wX0ynirfs3_H2D36WUvR-tZzZJ-z22T-pfhcTMB2o1HuLUC0VjESidfTb6OVE0/s320/100_0857.jpg" /> <div>Here's another Twirly Skirt I made from two fat quarters. <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error">Wal</span>-Mart sells these fat <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">quarters</span> for a $1 and they have some cute designs. The shirt I bought and appliqued the circles on. <br /><div> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5469635724005276290" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiivzthByGAIbMHGIHA6cmasyfA2L3654RczVxjuE12C76gztCwCjp8-IriOuVb9xgQt9HjRruUaqDwUp7wUbDykfAGmRVQgEwFUrEpKQuhKq-LAJOF0EQ5HMhnPBghnGn6ID__F754Grw/s320/100_0844.jpg" />Then I made a shirt for the little guy so he can match his '<span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-error">lil</span> sis. There were some scraps left over, believe it or not so I used it for the tie. I <em>love </em>how this tie turned out! I think it is so cute! <br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5469635747770061570" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC1zCDTM84LaWRGga4UWBKlTP9W1GldXo-BrNQFxFe4Q9-ME59IYUNm33RDW9B3hyphenhyphen2bqPhrKccbzZ_ojg_MQ8qRQ37l2h-U5l-8GMXxYe-QBcFdd9LsOioyhKoVf4_Wz7mOOMY00PALtI/s320/100_0850.jpg" />And here is the matching duo:</div><div><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5469635755949386946" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizbn1Vo3PZg1Q1NIfgqetAhoER-IRyT1cdo-QeXe-4GLd5RyFb9PBGCo5ShtfcAJpA3RQhYn23L-Zrs17Tlam5k0nh-ONa0gtPbOM4LDsoBsEvFrFRXSNgx0h0IWbLJAWDCpI21kFEwWc/s320/100_0852.jpg" /> <div>Have a great day!</div><div><br /><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-TOP: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT: 0px" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/130/165D34EFCF2E90E4080E785F03DDA044.png" /></a></div></div></div></div></div>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16998389494804233584noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360998335648998334.post-7915787259989524802010-05-05T10:25:00.001-04:002010-05-05T11:04:18.607-04:00Dress RefashionSo I found this cute little dress at <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">Wal</span>-Mart. I was just passing through the clothing department and it grabbed my eye. I thought it was a cute little summer dress. When I got home and tried it on, it was a little short for my taste and a little plain.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467799212421572786" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTJhZKjjCaG9EMQSNB98SqzWfGRzK23iGNU1LJ-l-1dBtiqdjo1BiygZcMXn_54lcSzopWM9mfusrJexY-osf647NGKGwC_0d8csfVRJVfVCOlj7b_v5T8bDOGLQK8nY2UNEoCrWs4y7A/s320/100_0822.jpg" /><br />So I dug through my scrape fabric stash and had just enough of some zebra print to add a little length. <br /><br />The top of the dress has a cute lace around the neckline. But the waistline was missing <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">something</span>. It needed an additional touch too.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467799217588931794" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzjn4an4-e0ne_CCZc8_VAZoFq46hfSK7sKCe3eJGgg1SRIcebR9IHi4Xj7OoYEQr55tLpobg8p3P5wm48WdzpqdPr-z20guYlLB8D1DPZx6H48YIrbFLWTGvi6Vu-a_kG4DJ4QDyOGBo/s320/100_0823.jpg" />I just so happened to have enough fabric to make a belt as well. I didn't make it long enough to tie in a bow, so I formed a cute little flower instead. I think it turned out so cute.<br /><div> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467799234591191794" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG4afkEbnAe8-kBKVFP5TDhWmvyAhzoSAkXj53nw2YvQCvVGFN4AUqS-PlVcqOvY8qOewwo8sdvc0vt6IfciDNn4RWaT1hzfkdPkwdFjJFWicxndR02YUepbd817MGzCBzj0CsDXUKbWI/s320/100_0831.jpg" />And the final look. (Please excuse the unmade bed; I like to procrastinate!)<br /><div> </div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467799225949302898" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-u0k3soyMDWQT3FPE45sow8_4pZilBp5L2yhj98G4-kulz4-VLTXjGzuMxswT4TAHbA7WEQK-lspL0nmkmkUh10YyuZfm32N6wefCWn135O3hg7LPcpt93-NK5SMTxtSF6Dw5bZR_zZw/s320/100_0829.jpg" /></div><div>My only problem now is it has shrunk a little since I've washed it. I don't know why I have not posted it sooner because I absolutely love it. I finished it a while ago and I don't remember step-by-step what I did, but I will try to give my best description. It's pretty easy and pretty basic. This project actually started out for my oldest niece, but I messed up so I made it for the little one.<br /><br />Before you start cutting, make sure you measure the little one. Unfortunately, my niece's and nephew live about 2 hours away, so I went to <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error"><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">Wal</span></span>-Mart and bought a skirt for the appropriate size; in this case 12 months. I measured the length and waist band. I wanted the top section longer than the bottom. I guess the top section is about 2/3 bigger than the bottom. Be sure to add about a 1/4" for seam allowance and add extra length for the elastic. I added about 6" to the width to make it scrunchy. First, sew the side seam of the top band together. Then sew the tube for the elastic. Make sure you leave about a 2" gap to insert the elastic. For your bottom band, you can pretty much make it as long as you want; depending on how ruffled you want it. To make the ruffles, adjust your stitch length to the highest possible. Sew about a 1/4" from the edge. Do not <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">backstitch</span> and make sure to leave some extra thread on the ends. Pull the thread so the ruffles begin to form. Sew the raw edges together. Pin it to the top band with the right sides together working the ruffles so that they are consistent all the way around and sew. Double fold, iron, and pin the unfinished edge of the bottom band and sew to make the seam. At this point, it should look like this:<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456401398639736594" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieUtU2vjvgJQucJVH-Ys9CJeyr5pBgvP74cJiBbJEzC4G0vKdKXX1PiqoC-VIk8FWON2TW71HouC_tY2_hyphenhyphenYhwCK7p25JSLQxWU2BR2FHNIsSR8WJo4WWwf1wMYJY7h6SvpvggY-9_XSg/s320/DSC02001.JPG" /><br />I apologize that I don't have pictures of the previous steps. I got a little frazzled when I realized I messed up and stopped taking them! As you can see, once I figured out it would work out for the little one I started taking pics again.<br /><br />Thread the elastic through the tube. Before I finish the seam, I like to pull the overlapping ends of the elastic out far enough to sew them together. Then finish the tube and your done! This has been a wonderful Easter for us. We were able to spend it with my parents and my hubby's parents, sister, bro-in-law and their kids. My sister-in-law and I gave up sweets for lent. So needless to say, I have been feasting on sweet things all throughout the day! I bought some milano cookies Friday in preparation for today. They are now calling my name. I might have to get one <em>very </em>soon. I hope everyone else has had a blessed Easter. It is one of my favorite holidays; it pretty much is a tie between it and Christmas!<br /><br />Now on to business! I finally have a new post!!!!! Yah! It has been quite difficult to make myself sit down and create a post. But I am doing it now!!! I know it's about time!<br /><div><div><div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 224px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 195px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5455153644630905810" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLQEy82M-BV10KvuyUIgxg42ZTAM9JwubbQTp0jSJidpBTbcKeAdJ5UQXLqcm5UK8azS_tDcpc2vDEE4ZT4pdcJp7bPKtx2Se8XHK32B8LRMwDUiSoDREUvWNFX1hDaRDiTA3TSrbZLK0/s320/61V7UDwGSmL__SL500_AA300_.jpg" />I bought this book about a month ago. It has some really cute things in it. One of them being this adorable dress. </div></div><div><br /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5455154828336549234" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoAnaIFqFckrGsAYwDHfZhQre4r9p7EVVjVYd32JF4D4LJx4g9qQDF5fphsJ2EuZgzK__uShIxYuQXxVeAH8h0TEGpHWVmGEMemEAByOKpCA-fOP98HYWFT-WKWfcnDDVIEmjw4eVOn4g/s320/DSC02128.JPG" /> </div><div>My precious niece just turned 1! I am not to fond of the bottom one. I figured out my mistake and made the petals wider on the second one. It looks much better. My apologies! Things have been crazy lately! I am hopeful that things will get a little better soon. (Yeah right, does that ever happen?)<br /><br />I am so ready for spring to get here! Hence the springy new background. We have had a pretty good winter here in south Georgia. I actually like cold whether (unlike many south Georgians) and we have had a pretty cold winter this year. It even snowed!!! And it stuck to the ground! But, now that April is right around the corner, I can't wait for things to start warming up a bit. I have a few projects that I will hopefully be posting soon. And hopefully we will be moving so there will be lots of decorating projects. That's my hope anyway!<br /><br /><span style="color:#993399;"><a href="http://thegirlcreative.blogspot.com/"><strong>The Girl Creative</strong></a><strong> </strong></span><span style="color:#000000;">is hosting a New Friend Friday party! Oh the possibilities!!! They are so cute. I thought this would be great gift for my beautiful <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">niece</span> and adorn it with hair bows!!! Her birthday was a few days ago, but I went ahead and gave it to her early. I think she really liked it ;) And these hair bows! Oh, they are so easy to make. Once I got started making these bows, it was really hard to stop! I didn't realize how fun it is!<br /><br />I was not so lucky as others out there who found frames for $1 at thrift stores, but mine was on sale! I got it at Michael's for $10; it was 50% off. Not too bad. So with the help of my dad, I spray painted the frame with this cute turquoise spray paint.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433787280107324098" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLNeWx35zEW1jNpVC8zyVrAXL_uXa0Qi9pKABKty21C3vVVEwxWwGL6b2Mvu9Wv7qkDH7uVvA7JKhYg0J3jsdcZnxLiFOoc04kIzqd8NOohO_lHO8eSBfYHgt7WZewGsBVfiCCzQaalfQ/s320/DSCN2136.JPG" /><br /><div><br /><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><span class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Using the matte board that came with the frame, I cut out some batting about 2 inches longer on each side and then hot glued it around the edges. </span></div><br /><div><span class="blsp-spelling-corrected"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433787281263152930" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgsKLPV_-utJBiKCEiS1Hu08H6apzsZab3u0GQTtqB3uFejsYl-ZZlDBmm47EoowsVZmiMnfbUXeTt8aCa982CnsFZwZ68VZqxw3Ku27WBR8Ef7LJUJAgh9_E0fOjpoz7D8IeZNtDZdm8/s320/DSCN2164.JPG" /></span></div><br /><div><span class="blsp-spelling-corrected"></span></div><div><span class="blsp-spelling-corrected">I cut the fabric a little longer than the batting. Then I laid the board on top of the fabric and hot clued it on all sides. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433787290361966338" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOtNGN4RhC1CIJue8kirtWAe6kxl5-SNQH_paygUflrAJn6frMlpYKt__F978lyagVvcVdCtfu-HsqC7mVvK9ZKQyvD4hLfHalPT4wlI8YTc9502AbjQLRCBHtjrWoTbq2H4Olr6KdTVI/s320/DSC01889.JPG" />Then I measured the ribbons and decided on the placement and hot glued them as well. Then added the back of the frame and I was done!!! Easy <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">peasy</span>!</span></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433787297755573378" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5lNrnrBOfpkAUCA_TDH25Ok_Y10VLVnvRaU3ys0gsV5bYN2hhKw2RSqFMpCR1k1ue73Y2F7B9BeRU0b9NT3tB8s7BUFUJkAoSome0c7Au9E_XjnKgGXX8bHIInvE9KGvoMLto_i8Dxio/s320/DSC01896.JPG" /><br />After the frame was done, I proceeded to make these cute bows. My sister gave me some ribbon for Christmas so I put it to good use! I used this <a href="http://www.somewhatsimple.com/2009/07/ribbon-lined-alligator-clips.html"><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>tutorial</strong></span></a> to line the clips with ribbon. Most of the bows were made by making four or six loops (two or three on each side) making sure to hold it securely in the center. To secure the bow, tie the center with thick string. Cut a coordinating ribbon big enough to wrap around the center. Place a dab of glue in the center on the back of the bow and put the end of the ribbon on it. Add another dab of glue and wrap the ribbon around, making sure to cover the string holding the loops together. Then place some glue on top of the clip and press and hold the bow on it for a few seconds. </div></div><div><div> </div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433790850111541682" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7vkMAZI-cB-wkRTyCKzbuWAgkqPyAuq-aCv_B08toDeMZgr7IOdKm5bV9ErgLwng-UUJNorbwYLgMLdEWKaluLbSvcRrZvWurf5pDw5DbaPFTS48Hkxu6gQziHqYbwr9sXmSQFo3UKI8/s320/DSC01946.JPG" /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433790856146302210" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibw3AfbzF0FaVYKcvSF3IhPq6tSVVTYMRx7v-Jjb_S3JrrSywcLvjmymV1o0oGlC0CFJe5JP7luJ7jkr58EW4TWHfmPDjunHzvCcV6Yfw_YcIbtuMK7LIm58_uNhPuTi6Kbty6BS3zlpw/s320/DSC01951.JPG" /><br /><div>These are fabric flowers that are great if you have scrapes.
