Has anyone tried this yet...

GLASS ETCHING? I love this stuff. I could easily get addicted to this. This was a trifle dish that I have had for a while. I found the design online somewhere and traced it and the T. I used clear contact paper to trace it on and I think it worked great. Then I attached it to the glass and gobbed on the Armor Etch, twice for 10 minutes each.


This stuff is amazing. The hardest part is drawing and cutting out the design; especially if you don't have stencils or a nifty Cricut machine (which I am hoping that Santa will bring me one for Christmas).


I love how it turned out...


Sorry about the lovely pictures and the backdrop. I was in a hurry and couldn't think of a good background. And we are still in our rental (which I am very thankful for), but the wood paneling walls don't make for a very good background!

I think I might start getting out all my glass casserole dishes and putting my mark on them next. This would also be great wedding gifts. The possibilities are endless!

Mod Podge Lids

I have several spaghetti sauce jars and other jars that I have been hoarding and telling myself I would find a use for them. But I didn't know what to do with the lids. Until I ran across this blog.


So I turned these:



Into these:

As you can see, the small one (which, by the way is an old chicken bouillon container) has found its purpose. I think I might use the larger ones this Christmas for gifts; cookies in a jar. I haven't tried it yet, but I've been anxious to! This is such an easy project and it dresses up the jars so nicely! I have a few more to do and I will be done. My next Mod Podge project is to cover these boxes!

What does post-it notes, picture frames, scrapebook paper, and a spice bottle have in common?

These cute little post-it holders! I saw these at Sisters Stuff and just had to do one, or four! There is a short little video here. I went to the Dollar Tree to buy the frames. They didn't have any, but they did have some cute scrapebooking supplies (who knew?). I bought a few stickers and a set of stamps. I used the spice bottle to trace a circle. Yes, I know there are circle cutters out there, but I haven't broken down and bought one. But I am thinking that would be a great gift for Christmas ;) I will have to whisper that to Santa soon!

These would be great teachers gifts (my mother-in-law and sister-in-law are both teachers so they are definately getting one!) or gifts for friends or co-workers. They are supper easy too! I went ahead and did two more to have on hand.
